Hands-on and beginner-friendly Stained Glass Workshops
Join us for a one-day beginner-friendly stained glass workshop where you’ll create a stunning ornament featuring a native bird, small panel, or flower. You’ll learn the Tiffany stained glass technique – a timeless method of crafting intricate and colourful designs.
From selecting your design and cutting glass to foiling and soldering, this workshop will walk you through each step of the process. By the end of the day, you’ll take home your very own handcrafted ornament and a newfound appreciation for this beautiful art form.
This hands-on experience is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to explore their creative side in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Anyone who would like to give working with glass a go. No prior experience necessary.
This is all about having a fun and creative day, while taking home your very own handcrafted ornament.
Your design
For these beginner-friendly 1-Day stained glass workshops, we will be working on a small ornament approximately 20 – 25cm in size, consisting of 10-15 pieces of glass. This ensures that everyone can complete their piece within the workshop timeframe while learning essential techniques like glass cutting, fitting the pieces, foiling, and soldering.
Glass work requires patience and attention to detail, so we’ll be focusing on manageable designs that allow you to practice key skills without feeling rushed. If you have any questions or design preferences, feel free to get in touch before the workshop!
In January and February, you can book into a short and sharp half-day stained glass workshop. These sessions are designed to be accessible, using origami-inspired patterns that avoid tricky cuts – you’ll work with just six pieces of glass. You’ll experience all the key stages: cutting, foiling, soldering, and you’ll take your finished ornament home at the end.

Workshop times: start at 10am, finish 4.30pm for 1-Day workshops, finish at 2pm for half-day workshops.
Materials Provided: All tools and materials, including glass, copper foil, solder, flux, patina, and some safety equipment.
What to Bring: Safety glasses, a tea towel and a few soft old rags.
BYO: lunch, snacks and drinks – depending on the venue there might be a cafe nearby.
Workshop Pricing
1-day stained glass workshops:$250.
Returning for a second 1-Day workshop within 6 months? Your next 1-day workshop will be just $195.
Advanced pathway for committed makers (studio model): You’ll pay a flat rate of $75 per studio day, plus $5 for each piece of glass in your design (for example: a project with 20 pieces adds $100). This covers your glass, foil, flux, solder and patina. Very complex or oversized designs may require a separate materials quote. The studio model reflects the variable nature of stained glass projects and gives you control over your costs.
The advanced pathway is available only for those who completed at least two workshops AND demonstrated established skills and safe working practice. You’re welcome to book into any workshop day, work on your own design or ongoing project and progress at your own pace. Dedicated tools and instruments will be available specifically for this group.
Please note: For workshops booked more than a month in advance, a $50 deposit is required within one week of booking. The remaining balance is due four weeks before the workshop begins. (Individual payment arrangements are possible—just let me know!)
